Questions founding members ask
What does "founding member" actually mean?
You are among the first 100 people to complete The Sohl Assessment at a discounted rate before The Brooklyn Sohl opens to the public. Founding members receive their tier's Assessment pricing permanently locked for future annual renewals, priority scheduling from day one, and recognition as the people who believed in this model before anyone else.
Do I have to commit to a membership after the Assessment?
No. The Sohl Assessment is a standalone clinical experience. If you choose to enroll in a membership (Whole, Mind, or Body), your full Assessment fee credits 100% toward your first-year dues. If you choose not to enroll, you keep your care plan and can book individual services at standard rates.
When will my Assessment be scheduled?
Founding member Assessments begin when The Brooklyn Sohl opens in Fall 2026. When you claim your spot, you are reserving your tier pricing and your place in the scheduling queue. You will be contacted to select your preferred date before public enrollment opens.
Why is the panel capped at 150?
Our care model is built on unhurried, deeply personalized attention. With our current clinical team (one supervising physician, one board-certified psychiatrist, one NP, and licensed therapists), 150 members is the maximum panel we can serve at the level of coordination and access we promise. When the panel fills, enrollment closes until capacity expands.
What is included in each membership tier?
The Brooklyn Sohl offers three membership programs: Whole (Prevent + Mind + Body, fully integrated), Mind (mental healthcare focus), and Body (aesthetics focus). All memberships include the annual Sohl Assessment, well checks, a dedicated care coordinator, and member pricing on all services. Full membership details will be shared during your Assessment visit, when your physician can recommend the tier that matches your care plan.
Does insurance cover any of this?
For mental health services — therapy, psychiatry, group workshops, and teletherapy — we work with out-of-network benefits. Many PPO plans reimburse a meaningful portion of out-of-network mental health care, and as a concierge practice, we guide you through the entire process: confirming your plan's OON mental health benefits before you enroll, handling the billing and documentation (superbills) on our end, and supporting you through submission and reimbursement. You're never navigating it alone. Preventive and aesthetic services are private-pay, with membership savings and HSA/FSA eligibility for qualifying treatments.
